Xiaomi Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A with 5.45-inch HD+ display announced

Xiaomi has just announced its latest Redmi Series smartphones in China called Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A. Both of them feature in 5.45-inch displays with HD+ resolution.
Both of them run on Android 8.1 Oreo OS with MIUI 9 on top. They have hybrid Dual SIM slot and houses fingerprint sensor at the back. These smartphones come in Grey, Gold, Rose Gold and Blue colors.
The Xiaomi Redmi 6 3GB/32GB model costs 799 Yuan (US$ 125 / Rs. 8410 approx.) while the Redmi 6 4GB/64GB variant has price-tag of 999 Yuan (US$ 156 / Rs. 10,520 approx.). The Xiaomi Redmi 6A price is set at 599 Yuan (US$ 93 / Rs. 6,310 approx.)

The phone measures 147.5 x 71.5 x 8.3 mm and weighs 146 grams. It has 5.45-inch 2.5D curved glass multi-touch display with 1440 x 720 pixels HD+ resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio and 1000:1 contrast ratio.
The Redmi 6 specs include 2GHz octa-core 12nm Helio P22 MT6762 processor with IMG PowerVR GE8320 650MHz GPU. It comes with 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB internal memory. Both variants allow further expansion up to 256Gb using MicroSD card.
The smartphone features in 12MP (F/2.2 Aperture, 1.25μm pixel size, PDAF) + 5MP dual rear cameras with LED flash. There is a 5MP front facing selfie shooter with F/2.2 Aperture.
It has 3000 mAh (typical) / 2900 mAh (minimum) battery. Connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.2, GPS/GLONASS and 3.5mm Audio Jack are present as well. There are dual microphones  as well.

The mobile has dimensions of 147.5 x 71.5 x 8.3 mm and weighs 145 grams. It has same 5.45-inch 2.5D curved glass display which offers 1440 x 720 pixels HD+ resolution. The screen delivers 295ppi pixel density, 1000:1 contrast ratio and supports multi-touch.
The handset packs in 2GHz quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 12nm processor and houses 2GB RAM. It has 16GB internal storage space and allows further expansion up to 256GB using MicroSD card.
The Xiaomi Redmi 6A specs include 5MP front camera with F/2.2 Aperture and supports face unlock. It has 13MP single rear camera with LED Flash, F/2.2 Aperture and supports PDAF.
It is powered by 3000 mAh (typical) / 2900 mAh (minimum) battery. It has dual microphones and supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.2, GPS/GLONASS and 3.5mm Audio Jack.
