Acer has announced its latest rugged Chromebook 11 C771. It is durable enough to meet military standards for drops. It has been tested with drops from up to 48-inches.
It also comes with protective rubber bumpers around the display and keyboard. It is dust resistant and water resistant and provides protection against spills of up to 330ml of water. Its keyboard is spill resistant as well.
The Chromebook 11 C771 is sturdy enough to survive up to 132 pounds of force when closed. It has 11.6-inch IPS display with 1366 x 768 pixels resolution. There is an optional touch screen variant called Chromebook 11 C771T.
It is 21mm thick, weighs about 1.35KG and sports 180-degree hinge. The device gets processing power from 6th Generation Intel Core or Celeron processors and supports up to 4GB RAM.
The C771 is said to offer up to 13 hours of battery life while the C771T touch screen model gives about 12 hours of battery backup. It also cmoes with built-in MicroSD card reader, one USB-C, two USB 3.0 and one HDMI ports.
The Acer Chromebook 11 C771-C4TM is priced at US$ 279.99 while the touch screen variant bearing model C771T-C1WC carries price tag of US$ 329.99.
