Alcatel has unveiled its latest entry level smartphone called U5 HD. It has 5-inch IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution.
It has an exquisite design with comfortable grip. It has textured back with curved edges and features in striking matte and glossy dual finish.
The handset is powered by 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor with Mali-T720 GPU. It has 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM of which about 3GB is user available. There is a microSD card slot that allows further expansion up to 128GB.
The Alcatel U5 HD specs include 5MP (interpolated to 8MP) front camera with LED Flash. On the back side is an 8MP (interpolated to 13MP) auto focus shooter with LED Flash.
The handset is powered by 2200 mAh battery. It is claimed to offer about 4 hours talk time and 200 hours of standby. The battery fully charges up in just under 4.6 hours.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE Cat 4 (Bands 1/3/7/8/20), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth, MicroUSB V2.0, GPS etc.
The Alcatel U5 HD comes in Volcano Black and Pure White colors. It is already listed at company’s official website.
