Apple has officially launched its latest iPad Air 5th Generation tablet. It is company’s latest 5th Generation iPad Air and is successor to last years model.
The tab comes in Space Grey, Starlight, Purple, Blue and Pink colors. It will go on order in 29 countries including India from March 11th. Its sale starts from March 18th.
5th Generation Apple iPad Air (2022) specs, features
The deice measures 247.6 x 178.5 x 6.1 mm. The Wi-Fi only model weighs 461 grams while the 5G model has weight of 462 grams. The tablet includes stereo speakers and has dual microphones for taking calls.
The iPad Air 5th Gen feature a 10.9-inch IPS multi-touch LED-backlit display and offers 2360 x 1640 pixels resolution. It has 264ppi pixel density and delivers wide P3 colors, 500nits brightness and 1.8% reflectivity. It is true tone display with fingerprint-resistant oleophobic and antireflective coating. Its screen has support for Apple Pencil 2nd Gen as well.
The new iPad Air 2022 has an octa-core Apple M1 chip which includes 8-core Graphics and Apple Neural Engine. The tablet has 8GB RAM and comes in options of 64GB / 256GB storage space. All the models run on iPad OS 15 out of the box.
The Apple iPad Air 5th Generation houses a 12MP wide-camera at back with F/1.8 Aperture, 5-element lens, , AIS, Auto Focus with Focus pixels and up to 5x digital zoom. It can record 4K at 24/25/30/60 fps, 1080p at 25/30/60fps, slo-mo 1080p video at 120/240fps and supports tiple-lapse video with stabilization, cinematic video stabilization (4K/1080p/720p) and continuous AutoFocus video.
The all new iPad Air 2022 model has 12MP ultra-wide FaceTime front camera with 122-degree FOV, F/2.4 Aperture, Smart HDR 3, Lens Correction, AIS and Retina Flash.
The iPad Air 5G model comes with Nano-SIM / eSIM. It has support for 5G NR and LTE. All the models have Touch ID, 3-axis gyro, acclerometer, Barometer and Ambient light sensors.
All the models have 28.6Wh rechargeable lithium-polymer battery that delivers up to 10 hours (Wi-Fi model) / 9 hours (5G model) surfing on web. All of them support Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz – Simultaneous), HT80 with MIMO, USB 3.1 Gen2 (up to 10Gbps), Bluetooth V5.0 and GPS/GLONASS/Beidou/Galileo.
