Just recently, French phone maker Archos announced its Helium series phones. Now, it has introduced its latest Archos 50 Saphir smartphone.
The phone is sturdy enough to endure drops from up to 1 meter (3.2 feet). It has IP68 certification making i water resistant up to depths of 1 meter for 30 minutes.
The Archos 50 Saphir specs include 5-Inch IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and Gorilla Glass 4 for scratch resistance. It has 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737T processor with Mali-T720 GPU.
The mobile comes with 2GB DDR3 RAM, 16GB Storage ROM and allows further expansion up to 128GB using MicroSD card.
The smartphone measures 146.6 x 75.9 x 13.9 and house a powerful 5000 mAh non removable Li-Ion battery. It has 5MP front camera and 13MP auto focus camera on the back with LED Flash.
The Archos 50 Saphir comes bundled with Dual SIM slots and supports 4G LTE. It supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth V4.0, FM Radio, GPS etc.
The Archos 50 Saphir is priced at €199 (about $222) and will be available in Euro in October 2016. Company will also showcase this rugged smartphone at IFA 2016 event as well.
