ASUS and HP have come together to launch their first Snapdragon powered Windows 10 Laptops. They were introduced at Qualcomm’s second annual tech summit.
ASUS NovaGo
The laptop sports a 13.3-inch IPS screen with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It has 78% screen-to-body ratio and 10-poin multi-touch capabilities. It also supports ASUS Pen which has 1024 pressure levels.
The ASUS NovaGO features in ASUS Eye Care and Tru2Life video technology. It has integrated X16 LTE which is capable of getting Cat13 download speeds of up to 1Gbps and 150 Mbps upload.
At its core is 2.45GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 mobile PC platform coupled with Adreno 540 GPU clocked at 710 MHz. It run on Windows 10s operating system and comes with all the App store.
This Snapdragon powered laptop comes in options of 4GB RAM with 64GB storage and 8GB RAM with 128GB / 256GB internal memory. It is powered by 52 Wh Li-Po battery that is said to offer 22 hours batter life and about 30 days of standby.
Connectivity wise, it supports Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Wi-Fi/MiMO, two USB 3.1 (5GBps) Type-A Nano SIM tray, MicroSD card, HDMI, DX-in and 3.5mm Audio Jack.
The ASUS NovoGO price starts at $599 (Rs. 38,610 approx.) for 4GB RAM / 64GB ROM model and $799 (Rs. 51,500 approx.) for 8GB RAM / 128GB storage model. In the first way, the US, UK, Italy, France, Germany, China and Taiwan. In the US particularly, it will be available at Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile.
HP Envy X2
It has a tablet/laptop hybrid running on Windows 10s OS. It has one time option to switch to Windows 10 Pro as well. The device weighs about 699 grams.
The laptop hybrid packs in 12.3-inch WUXGA+ screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It has Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Mobile PC platform which is an octa-core processor. The hardware is backed by up to 8GB LPDDR4X PoP memory and supports 256GB Storage.
The HP Envy X2 offers up to 20 hours of battery back on single charge and about 700 hours in connected modern standby. Usual connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Wi-Fi/MiMo, USB 3.1 (5GBPS) Type-A x 2, Combo Nano SIM tray and 3.5mm Audio Jack.
The HP Envy X2 price is not known yet. Company did reveal that the laptop will be available in Spring 2018.
