Xiaomi’s Black Shark 2 smartphone went official in China back in March 2019. Now, company has launched the smartphone in India.
It has ‘X-Style’ antenna design for reception and comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor. It comes with Liquid Cooling 3.0 which is a tower-wide global liquid cooling system. It uses liquid-cooled plates and liquid cooled tubes which reduces CPU core temperature by up to 14-degrees Celsius.
The phone measures 163.61 x 75.01 x 8.77 mm and has weight of 205 grams. It has RGB Logo at the back. Inside is 4000mAh (typical) battery which supports 27W fast charging (offers 30 minutes of gaming with 5 minutes of charging).
The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 specifications include 6.39-inch multi-touch display with 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution at 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It delivers 108.9% DCI-P3 color gamut and 430 nits brightness. there are hidden pressure sensitive controls for the display as well.
As you might expect from a flagship gaming phone, it has octa-core Snapdragon 855 mobile platform with Adreno 640 GPU. The Black Shark 2 comes in options of 6GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB UFS 2.1 ROM and 12GB LPDDR4X RAM with 256GB UFS 2.1 ROM.
In terms of optics, it has 48MP (1/2.0-inch Samsung GM1 sensor, F/1.7, 0.8um pixels) + 12MP (1/3.6-inch Samsung S5K3M5 sensor, Telephoto lens, F/2.2, 1.0um pixels, 2X lossless zoom) dual camera setup with LED flash. For selfies, there is a 20MP front camera with F/2.0 Aperture and 0.9um pixel size.
The BlackShark 2 runs on Android 9.0 Pie OS. It has Dual SIM slots and supports Dual 4G VoLTE. Connectivity options include WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi hotspot, dual-band (2×2 MU-MIMO ), Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou and USB Type-C.
The Black Shark 2 6GB/128GB price is Rs. 39,999 and comes in Shadow Black color. The premium Black Shark 2 12GB/256GB costs Rs. 49,999 and comes in Frozen Silver color. It will go on sale at Flipkart from June 4th.
