Black Shark has officially introduced three new smartphones called Black Shark 5, Black Shark 5 RS and Black Shark 5 Pro. All of these are up for order in China and will go on sale from April 2nd.
Along with it, company has unveiled Black Shark 5 and 5 Pro China Aerospace Editions that come with special accessories, meteorite necklaces, figures and more.
Black Shark 5 / 5 RS / 5 Pro specifications, features
Lets start with common specs. These come with dual Nano SIM slots and bring support for 5G SA / NSA and dual 4G VoLTE. They come with a side mounted fingerprint sensor and runs on Android 12 bases JoyUI 13.
All of these mobile phones feature in 6.67-inch multi-touch AMOLED display with HDR10+ support. Their screens offer 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution at 20:9 aspect ratio, 144Hz refresh rate, 720Hz touch sampling rate and up to 1300nits of peak brightness. The BlackShark 5 Pro supports 10-bit colors.
The Black Shark 5 measures 163.83 x 76.25 x 10.0 mm and weighs 218 grams. It has stereo speakers and houses a 4650mAh dual-cell battery with 120W fast charging support. The mobile comes with Octa-core Snapdragon 870 mobile platform with Adreno 650 GPU. It has 8GB/128GB LPDDR5 RAM with 128GB UFS 3.1 storage. Its top end version houses 12GB LPDDR5 RAM with 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. For optics, there is a 16MP front camera while the back side includes 64MP (Main, F/1.79), 13MP (Ultra-wide) and 2MP (macro, F/2.4) lenses.
Depending on model, the Black Shark 5 RS is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 888 / 888+ mobile platform with Adreno 660 GPU. It has 8GB / 12GB LPDDR5 RAM options with 256GB UFS 3.1 storage space. It has 20MP selfie camera while the back side includes 64MP (main) + 8MP (Ultra-wide) + 2MP (macro) lenses. The smartphone itself measures 163.69 x 76.21 x 9.9 mm and weighs 220 grams. It has Stereo speakers and houses 4500mAh battery (dual-cell / dual-charge-pump) and supports 120W fast charging.
The Black Shark 5 Pro specs include octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Mobile Platform with Adreno next-gen GPU. It has 8GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM with 256GB (UFS 3.1 + SSD) storage. Its premium version has 16GB LPDDR5 RAM with 512GB (UFS 3.1 + SSD) storage space. The cell phone has measurements of 163.86 x 76.53 x 9.5 mm and weighs 22 grams. It has stereo speakers with 0.8mm amplitude, 1.5cc sound cavity, 14V built-in Smart PA and dual audio enhancement ICS. The 5 Pro feature in 4650mAh dual-cell battery and allows 120W fast charging. In terms of optics, it has 16MP front camera coupled with 108MP (main, F/1.75) + 13MP (Ultra-wide) + 5MP (tele-macro) shooters at back.
The BlackShark 5 / 5 RS / 5 Pro come with VC cooling. Specially, the 5 Pro Variant uses “anti-gravity” dual VC liquid cooling system for heat suppression. The RS model has Z-Axis linearmother while the 5 / 5 Pro models come with X-axis motor.
Connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.2, USB Type-C and GPS/GLONASS/Bediou/Galileo are supported.
