Casio expands its PRO TREK Series with its 3rd generation outdoor watch called WSD-F30. It is dust and water resistant up to 50 meters and complies with environmental durability standards of MIL-STD-810.
It has dimensions of 60.5 x 53.8 x 14.9 mm weighs about 83 grams. The watch runs on Wear OS by Google and is compatible with most smartphones running on Android 4.4+ or iOS 9.3+. The watch has three special buttons which includes Power Button, Tool Button and Map Button.
The Casio PRO TREK Smart WSD-F30 features in 1.2-inch dual layer display which has Color TFT LCD and Monochrome LCD. The screen offers 390 x 390 pixels resolution.
This rugged wear OS watch comes with Extended mode which allows one to use offline color maps and GPS for up to 3 consecutive days on a single charge. It can save energy by switching the OS in to energy-saving standby mode on a schedule set by user.
In extended mode, the time and measurement data is continuously shown on monochrome display while the color map can be viewed by simply pressing a button. Users can also track their current location in offline maps and record tracks.
The Casio WSD-F30 packs in array of sensors like Air pressure sensor, altitude sensor, accelerometer, gyrometer and magnetic compass. It also includes a single microphone and connectivity options of Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth V4.1 LE. In terms of battery life, a normal usage with color display will last you about 1.5 days..
The Casio PRO TREK WSD-F30 price is set at $549 (Rs. 38,870 approx.) MSRP and comes in Black, Blue and Orange colors. It will go on sale in January 2019 and select jewelry and watch retailers.
