CTL has announced its new rugged Education Chromebook NL61. It is more powerful than its predecessor, has rugged design and has long battery life.
The CTL NL61 houses 180-degree hinge that allows Chromebook to lie flat. It has convenient to carry and handle and sports 360-degree 2MP rotating camera as well. The battery inside is powerful enough to give 14 days of battery life.
It has 11.6-Inch non-glare LED panel with 1366 x 768 pixels resolution. It is powered by up to 2.24GHz Quad Core Intel Celeron N3160 processor with 2M Cache. It has 4GB of maximum memory and 32GB EMMC storage space.
The Chromebook has dimensions of 88 x 11.8 x 8.4 Inch (H x D x W) and weighs about 1.38 Kg. It has 2 built-in speakers and sports AC 7625 Wireless adapter. It supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac 2×2, Bluetooth V4.0 and comes with HDMI port x 1, USB 3.0 x 2, 2-in-1 card reader and 3.5mm Audio Jack.
CTL Chromebook NL61 is available on pre-order for US$ 239 and will start shipping in July. Quantity discounts for qualified education customers are also available. CTL also plans to roll out NL61T, a touch screen variant of NL61 by the end of the year. Both of these Chromebooks will include X-Panel pressure resistant cover.
