Epson, the number one projector manufacture has introduced two new Home Cinema projectors – Home Cinema 5040UB and Home Cinema 5040UBe.
Both of these projectors are compatible with HDMI 2.0a and HDCP 2.2 standards and display 4K UHD content. They make use of 4K Enhancement technology and are the first 3LCD projectors to feature 4K UHD signal input and HDR support.
These newly designed Home Cinema projectors delivers 2500 lumens of color brightness and 2500 lumens of white balance. They have expansive color gamut that displays entire sRGB and DCI color spaces. They display HDR content and sports 1000000:1 dynamic contrast ratio.
The Home Cinema 5040UB and 5040UBe feature enhanced optical engine and a unique all-glass cinema lens that delivers excellent sharpness and color uniformity.
The 5040UBe allows user to connect smart entertainment devices using the included transmitter and allows wireless streaming of 4K, HDR and 1080p content using WirelessHD. The transmitter can connect up ot four HDMI devices simultaneously, supporting 4K HDCP2.2 standards. It also has one HDMI out port, optical port, one HDMI ports with MHL support, Blu-Ray player, gaming console etc. It also works with streaming devices like Chromecast, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV and has a special preview mode as well.
The Home Cinema 5040UBe and 5040UB features powered Lens Position memory that presents up to 10 positions for zoom, focus and lens shift for both standard and wide cinema ratios. They wide range of lens shift capabilities of up to ± 96.3 percent on the vertical axis and ±47.1 percent on the horizontal axis.
They have Auto Iris Technology that adjusts the aperture to provide optimum contrast and brightness. Its Frame interpolation generates multiple new frames between the originals, thus reducing motion blur. Its Centered Lens design makes installation easy to plan and carry out.
The Home Cinema 5040UBe is priced at MSRP US$ 3,299 and 5040UB costs MSRP US$ 2,999. Both of these projectors will be available in August through authorized re-sellers. They have 2 years of limited warrant (90 days on lamps.).
