Garmin Forerunner 935 smartwatch with GPS starts at $500

The new Garmin Forerunner 935 smartwatch is a premium GPS running/Triathlon Watch with wrist-based Heart Rate. It is compatible with easy-to-swap QuickFit bands (22 mm).

It’s bezels and casing is made up of fiber-reinforced polymer and has silicon straps. The smartwatch has 5 ATM rating, with measurements of 47 x 47 x 13.9 mm and weight of 49 grams.

The Garmin Forerunner 935 specs include 1.2-inch display with 240 x 240 pixels resolution. It is sunlight visible with transflective memory-in-pixel (MIP). It is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that offers battery life of up to 2 weeks on smart mode, up to 24 hours of GPS/HR mode and about 60 hours on UltraTrac mode (without Heart rate).

It comes bundled with array of sensors like GPS, GLONASS, Garmin Elevate wrist Heart Rate monitor, Barometric Altimeter, Compass, Gyroscope, Accelerometer and Thermometer.

It also supports connectivity with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ANT+ etc. The Forerunner 935 daily smart features include Connect IQ (downloadable watch faces, widgets, apps, data fields etc.), Smart notifications, calendar, weather, music controls, Face it Face creator, Find my phone and Watch feature, VIRB Remote etc.

The Forerunner 935 is compatible with most iPhone, Androids and Windows Smartphone. There are several activity tracking features like Step counter, move bar, Auto Goal, Sleep monitoring, Calories Burned, Floors climed, distance travelled, intesity minutes, TrueUP, Move iQ etc.

There are advance tracking features for various complex exercise routine like running, sprinting, swimming, biking an even triathlons. It’s Garmin application provides runners with cadence, contact time balance, stride length and other measurements along with VO2 Max.

The smartwatch also offers comparison feature allowing wear to compare performance of this week with last Week’s performance. It is also compatible with Varia line, which includes Varia Vision smart glasses, smart bike lights etc.

The Garmin Forerunner 935 is priced at $500. The Tri-Bundle will cost $650 and will include HRM-TRI, HRM-Swim monitor and Quick release kit.
