Google has just announced its latest Pixel Series 5G smartphones called Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Both of these will be available from October 28th at stores and major U.S. carriers. The handset will also land in Canada, Australia, Japan, France, Germany, Taiwan and United Kingdom.
The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro feature an in-display fingerprint sensor for secure authentication. These have Titan M2 security co-processor for added security. They come with dual SIM support which includes a Nano SIM slot and eSIM.
The Google Pixel 6 comes with a smaller 6.4-inch OLED screen offering FHD+ resolution and up to 90Hz variable refresh rate. The Google Pixel 6 Pro specs include a larger 6.7-inch OLED screen offering Quad HD+ resolution at 19.5:9 aspect ratio and up to 120Hz refresh rate. These come with Gorilla Glass Victus protection on top.
Both mobile phones are powered by all new Google Tensor chipset. They have stereo speakers with triple microphones for noise suppression. These come with Android 12 OS out of the box. Google has promised 3 years of OS updates and 5 years of security updates.
The Pixel 6 feature 8GB RAM and 128GB / 256GB storage options. It has an 8MP front camera for selfies. At the back side are dual shooters with array of sensors (all mentioned bellow). These include 50MP main Samsung GN1 sensor and 12MP ultra-wide SOny IMX386 sensor. The cell phone packs in a 4614mAh battery and supports 30W wired / 21W wireless charging.
The Pixel 6 Pro feature 12GB RAM and has 128GB / 256GB / 512GB UFS 3.1 storage options. It includes an 11MP front camera with SOny IMX663 sensor. At the back side are triple cameras and LED Flash. These make up of 50MP (main, Samsung GN1) + 12MP (ultra-wide, Sony IMX386) + 48MP (telephoto, Sony IMX586) shooters. It comes with a 5003mAh battery and supports 30W wired and 21W wireless charging.
