Google’s Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones have been talk of the town lately. We have been seeing odd leaks of either phones almost daily.
Now, its official. Google has revealed release date of Pixel phones for October 4th, 2016. The event will be held at 9AM in San Francisco. Search Engine giant has released a teaser video on its YouTube channel, which confirms the date.

The Google Pixel smartphones price is expected to start from US $649. This is for the smaller variant. Both the devices will be sold online at Google Store and Verizon could be its exclusive partner for sales.
According to a source, users can buy accidental damage coverage (with additional year warranty) for US $99 a year for smaller Pixel phone. Users of the larger Pixel XL will have to shed US $119.
The Pixel and Pixel XL are made by HTC and carry codenames Marlin and Sailfish. The former is said to have 5-Inch display while the other sports a larger 5.5-inch screen. They are expected to come with Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB RAM and runs on Android 7.1 Nougat OS out of the box.
