Google has just announced its latest Pixel Smartphones called Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL. These run on Android 9.0 Pie OS and houses rear mounted fingerprint sensor.
They come with two-tone design similar to previous generations.They have polycarbonate body with active edge feature and includes stereo front firing speakers.
The Google Pixel 3a features in 5.6-inch OLED HDR display with 2220 x 1080 pixels resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio, 441ppi pixel density and multi-touch support. It has corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection as well.
The Google Pixel 3a XL specs include a larger 6-inch multi-touch OLED HDR display with 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio, 400nits brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection.
Both of these smartphones gets processing power from octa-core ( 2.2GHz Performance Kryo 360 x 2 + 1.7GHz Efficiency Kryo 360 x 6) Snapdragon 670 Mobile Platform with Adreno 615 GPU.
They pack in 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB ROM. The Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL packs in 8MP front camera with 84-degree FOV, F/2.0 Aperture and 1.12μm pixel size. At the back side is single 12.2MP shooter with LED Flash, F/1.8 Aperture, 76-degree FOV, 1.4μm pixel size, Dual PDAF, EIS, OIS and 4K video recording (720p at 240fps). These also come with Super Res Zoom and Night Sight features.
The Pixel 3a packs in 3000mAh battery while the Pixel 3A XL comes with a larger 3700 mAh battery capacity. 18W fast charging is supported as well.
Connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz) 2×2 MIMO, USB Type-C Gen1, Bluetooth V5.0 LE, NFC and 3.5mm Audio jack are supported.
The Google Pixel 3A price is $399 (Rs. 27,800 approx.) (Rs. 39,999 official price for India with launch date set for May 15th) while the Google Pixel 3A XL price is $479 (Rs. 33,350 approx.) (Rs. 44,999 official price for India).
They come in Just Black, Clearly white and Purplish color. Both of the mobiles will be available at Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, US Cellular, Spectrum Mobile (Charter), C Spire and Google Fi, as well as AT&T. These will be available through Google Store beginning today, and through partners beginning tomorrow.
For Indian markets, these Pixel phones come with eSIM support for Reliance Jio and Airtel (with 3 months Youtube Music Premium). Registrations will start tomorrow at Flipkart.
