Honor 6X with 4G VoLTE, 5.5-inch FHD display, Dual Rear cameras announced

Huawei’s HONOR brand has just announced its latest smartphone called Honor 6X.  It is a mid-range smartphone with uni-body metal design and fingerprint sensor on the back.

The mobile measures 150.9 x 72.6 x 8.2 mm and weighs 162 grams. It has hybrid Dual SIM slots (nano + nano / MicroSD) and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with EMUI 4.1.

The Honor 6X Specs include 5.5-Inch IPS display with 2.5D curved glass. The screen gives 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and supports multi-touch as well. Under the hood is an Octa-Core (2.1GHz x 4 + 1.7GHz x 4) Kirin 655 processor (16nm) coupled with Mali-T830 MP2 GPU.

It has 3GB LPDDR3 RAM with 32GB internal storage and 4GB LPDDR3 RAM with 64GB eMMC 5.1 Storage ROM. It allows further expansion up to 128GB using MicroSD card (fits inside SIM slot).


The Honor 6X Features dual camera setup on the back. It includes 2MP camera for depth of field and background blur. The second primary camera at the back is of 12MP and includes 6P Lens, 1.25micron pixel size, PDAF and LED Flash. On the front side is 8MP selfie snapper as well.

The hardware is powered by 3340 mAh typical Battery (3270 mAh minimum). It supports fast charging as well.  Connectivity options include 4G LTE with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.1, GPS etc.


The Honor 6X Price starts at 999 Yuan (US$ 148)  for 3GB RAM / 32GB storage. The 4GB RAM / 32GB storage model is priced slightly higher at 1299 Yuan (US$ 192). The 4GB RAM / 64GB storage version costs 1599 Yuan (US$ 237). The handset comes in Silver, Grey, Gold, Rose Gold and Blue colour options and will be up for order in China from today itself. The smartphone will start shipping from October 25th.
