Huawei’s Honor sub-brand has launched its latest notebook called Honor Magicbook (VLT-W50). It has metal made from aluminum alloy and is highly inspired by MacBook Air.
The Honor Magicbook runs on Windows 10 Home 64-bit OS. It comes with Magic link application for easy transfer of files between Magicbook and your Huawei / Honor phone. Company is boasting a boot time of 7.6 seconds.
It has backlit full size keyboard which is spill resistant. It has total of four speakers and two built-in digital microphones. Moreover, it also supports Dolby Atmos to ensure optimum sound.
The laptop features in 14-inch IPS matte display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The screen offers 45% NTSC color gamut, 250nits brightness, 800:1 contrast ratio and 16:9 aspect ratio.
The Honor Magicbook specs also include quad-core 8th Generation Intel Core i5-8250U processor ore Core i7-8550u coupled with Intel UHD Graphics 620 or option NVIDIA GeForce MX150 GPU. It has 8GB LPDDR3 (2133MHz) RAM and 256GB SSD storage.
Honor has also placed a 1MP camera at the front for video calling. There is a fingerprint sensor as well for added security. The laptop draws power from 57.4Wh Lithium-Polymer battery which offers about 12 hours of usage.The battery fully charges up in about 2.5 hours with standard adapter. If you are in hurry, the battery charges from 0 to 70% in 60 minutes.
Talking about connectivity, it supports IEE 802.11ac, Bluetooth, USB Type x 1, USB 3.0 Type-A x 1, USB 2.0 x 1 and HDMI port.
The Core i5 Model of Honor 14″ Magicbook is priced at 5000 Yuan ($800/€645) while the Core i7 Magicbook costs 5700 Yuan ($910/€735). It is up for book at Vmall.
