A new mid-range tablet from Honor dubbed as Pad 8 has been made official in China. It is successor to Honor Pad 7 that was out last year.

The Honor Tablet 8 comes with dimensions of 278.54 x 174.06 x 6.9 mm (7.2mm narrow border at left / right) and weighs 520 grams (including battery.
It has a 12-inch IPS multi-touch display with 2000 x 1200 pixels resolution, 195ppi pixel density, 1500:1 (typical) contrast ratio, 350nits (typical) brightness, 1.07-billion colors and boasts 87% screen-to-body ratio. The tablet comes with TUV Rheinland hardware-level low blue light certification.
The Honor Pad 8 specifications include octa-core Snapdragon 680 mobile platform with Adreno 610 GPU. It has 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM options and is paired with 128GB storage space. It comes pre-installed with Android 12 based Magic UI 6.1.
It has 8 stereo speaker setup (4-treble + 4-bass) with 8.8cc sound chamber, Honor Histen sound and DTS:X Ultra. The tablet comes with Honor self-developed vocal enhancement algorithm as a bonus.
For optics, Honor Pad 8 feature a 5MP front camera and a 5MP rear facing shooter. It is powered by 7250mAh (typical) / 7150mAh (minimum) battery and supports 22.5W fast charging. It can go from 0 to 100% in 126 minutes and delivers about 22 hours of local video playback or 59 days of standby.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.1 and USB Type-C (with OTG).

The Honor Tablet 8 comes in Dawn Gold, Dawn Blue and Mint Green colors. It is already up for order in China and will go on sale from July 29th.
