Honor expands its Play Series lineup with the announcement of HONOR Play5 smartphone. The device is powered by Android 10 based Magic UI 4.0.
The Honor Play 5 measures 161.6 x 74.8 x 7.46 mm and weighs 179 grams. It has Dual SIM slots with support for 5G / Dual 4G VoLTE. It comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor for authentication.
The phone features a 6.53-inch OLED display offering 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution at 20:9 aspect ratio. The screen also delivers DCI-P3 colors, HDR10 support, full DC dimming and comes with TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification.

Powering inside is octa-core (2.4GHz A76 x 2 + 2GHz A55 x 6) MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor with Arm Mali-G57 MC3 GPU. The mobile houses 8GB RAM and comes in options of 12GB / 256GB storage space.
The Honor Play5 specs include 16MP front camera with F/2.0 Aperture. At the back side are quad cameras consisting of 64MP (main, F/1.9) + 8MP (Ultra-wide, F/2.4) + 2MP (depth, F/2.4) + 2MP (macro, F/2.4) shooters and LED Flash.
The mobile houses 3800mAh (typical) Lithium-Ion Polymer battery with 66W Super Fast charging support. Honor claims that its fast charging tech can charge batter to 60% in just 15 minutes and 100% in about 35 minutes.

The phone connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.1, USB Type-C 2.0, NFC, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou and 3.5mm audio jack.

The Honor Play5 price is set at 2,099 ($326 / Rs. 23,860 approx.) for 8GB/128GB model and 2,299 Yuan ($358 / Rs. 26,140 approx.) for 8GB/256GB model. It comes in Magic Night Black, Titanium Silver and Icelandic Fantasy colors.
