Huawei’s Honor brand has announced its latest water-resistant Tablet called Honor WaterPlay. It was introduced along with Honor 7X.
It has uni-body metal design with dimensions of 248 x 173 x 7.8 mm and weighs about 465 grams. It has IP67 rating for water and dust resistance and comes with Fingerprint sensor for added security.
The Honor WaterPlay specs include 10.1-inch display with 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution and 70% NTSC color gamut. The tablet gets processing power from octa-core (2.36GHz A53 x 4 + 1.7GHz A53 x 4) Kirin 659 processor with Mali-T830 MP2 GPU.
The tablet runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.1 on top. It has 3GB RAM with 32GB ROM and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage space. It also allows further expansion up to 256GB using MicroSD card.
The Honor WaterPlay features in an 8MP primary camera at the back. There is a selfie shooter as well. The hardware is juiced up by 6660 mAh fast charging battery. It is said to fully charge in 2.5 hours and should offer about 12.8 hours of video or 9.3 hours of browsing.
This Android Tablet also offers optional 4G LTE connectivity. Other options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetoot V4.1 LE, USB Type-C and GPS. For audio, it has Huawei Histen 3D audio technology and Harman Kardon audio technology built-in its stereo speakers.
The Honor WaterPlay price starts at 1999 Yuan (Rs. 19,770 / US$ 303 approx.) for 3GB / 32GB Wi-Fi model and 2399 Yuan (Rs. 23,730 / US$ 364 approx.) for 4GB / 64GB Wi-Fi variant. The 4GB RAM / 64GB ROM LTE variant costs 2699 Yuan (Rs. 26,700 / US$ 410 approx.). The tablet comes in Silver and Champagne gold colors and will be up for order in China from October 24th.
