HP has officially announced its latest Chromebook 11 G5 laptop. Unlike its predecessor, it has slimmed-down design, narrow display bezels, sports redesigned chassis and is thinner & lighter.
The laptop weighs about 2.51 lbs and features 11.6-Inch diagonal touch screen (1366 x 768 pixels) with anti-glare standard display. It has optional 11.6-Inch HD IPS touch screen (1366 x 768 pixels) panel with Corning Gorilla Glass NBT protection and has wider viewing angles as well. .
The HP Chromebook 11 G5 is powered by 2.4GHz dual core Intel Celeron N3060 processor, runs on Chrome OS and supports various Chrome and Android applications using Google Play Store. It comes with 2GB or 4GB RAM options and houses 16GB or 32GB storage space. It also comes with HP TrueVision HD webcam that records 720p resolution.
Aimed at student, the Laptop offers battery life of up to 11 hours on touch screen and about 12.5 hours on non-touch-screen device. It has two USB 3.1 ports and a 3.1 mm audio jack as well.
The HP Chromebook 11 G5 price starts from US$ 189 and will be available from channel partners in July 2016. It will start rolling out in retail stores from October.
