HP took to Gamescom 2017 where it has unveiled Omen X Gaming laptop. It is aimed at gaming enthusiasts.
It has 17-inch screen with options of 4K display or 1080p resolution display with 120Hz refresh rate. Teh screen also features NVIDIA G-Sync for reduced image tearing.
The HP Omen X Gaming laptop has Intel 7th Generation Intel Core i7 processor options along with array of Graphics card ranging up to NVIDIA GTX 1080 (factory overclocked).
Additionally, it comes with unlocked CPU’s and GPU’s for overclocking. There is an OMEN Command Center Software, which allows one to manage CPU and RAM over clocking.
Talking about RAM, there are several XMP memory options for memory overclocking, with tested profiles of up to 2800-DDR4. The laptop also has RAID0 SSD option, PCIe SSD+ HDD storage option or a single 1TB 7200rpm HDD.
To keep the internal hardware cool, the laptop sports an integrated chamber with four 3.5mm heat pipes and a high performance fan. The placement allows enhanced heat transfer from CPU/GPU to four rear corner mounted radiators.
The HP Omen X Features a mechanical / RGB LED-per key backlit Keyboard. It has 2.5mm travel with mechanical switches and has tactile feel. It has customizable keymaps with programmable / independent keys.
This Gaming laptop is not just for playing games. It also delivers optimum audio. It supports DTS headphone:X for simulated surround sound in headsets. If you are more of a speaker person, there are HP Dual speakers with Audio by Bang & Olufsen. Additionally, it has HP Audio Boost to ensure optimum audio without overloading speakers.
Connectivity wise there is a multi-format media card reader, mini DisplayPort, HDMI 2.0a with HDR support, three USB 3.0 Type A and two Thunderbolt 3-certified USB 3.1 Type-C. Dual Audio jacks are also present.
The HP Omen X Price starts at $1999 and will be available later this year.
