HTC has announced U11 Life smartphone along with U11+. It falls under Android One program (running on Android 8.0 Oreo) along with a HTC Sense UI offering in US. The HTC sense U.I runs on Android 7.1 Nougat but is upgradable to Android 8.0 Oreo in future.
The phone measures 149.09 x 72.9 x 8.1 mm and weighs 142 grams. It has IP67 water and dust resistance rating and comes with Nano SIM slot. There is a fingerprint sensor embedded on home button.
The HTC U11 Life specs include 5.2-inch Super LCD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It also supports multi-touch and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection for added durability.
Internal hardware makes up of octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 Mobile Platform with Adreno 510 GPU. It has 3GB / 4GB RAM with 32GB / 64GB internal storage options (depending on model). It also allows further expansion up to 2TB.
The HTC U11 Life features a 16MP selfie camera at the front with BSI sensor, F/2.0 Aperture and records 1080p videos. On the back side is another 16MP camera with LED Flash. It has F/2.0 Aperture, BSI Sensor, supports PDAF and 4K Video recording.
The hardware is juiced up by 2600 mAh built-in battery. Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging is also supported. The U11 Life also includes HTC USonic (with Active Noise cancellation) and Hi-Res audio certifications.
Connectivity wise, it supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.0, USB Type-C 2.0, GPS/GLONASS and FM Radio. There is no 3.5mm Audio jack but comes bundled with USB Type-C headphones.
The HTC U11 Life price starts at $349 for Sense UI variant (3GB RAM / 32GB ROM) in the US. It coms in Brilliant Black and Sapphire Blue colors and will be available from November 3rd. The Android One variant of U11 Life costs €395 / £349 for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage model in Europe and UK.
