Huawei has announced its latest smartphone called the Huawei G9 Plus. The handset has been made official in China.
It packs in 5.5-Inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It has 401ppi pixel density, 16M colour depth and supports multi-touch as well. On the back side is fingerprint sensor for added security.
The Huawei G9 Plus specs include 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 MSM8953 SoC with Adreno 506 GPU. It comes in 32GB RAM / 32GB Storage and 4GB RAM / 64GB storage variants. MicroSD cards up to 128GB are also supported.
The smartphone measurements are 151.8 x 75.7 x 7.3 mm and weighs about 160 grams. It has Nano SIM slot and supports 4G LTE. The phone is powered by 3340 mAh Li-Po battery (non removable). The handset runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with EMUI 4.1
The mobile phone features in a 16MP main camera on the back with CMOS Sensor, PDAF, OIS, Digital Zoom, HDR, Panorama and record 4K videos at 30 Fps. On the front is 8MP fixed focus selfie camera.
In terms of connectivity, the handset supports 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.1, USB OTG, GPS/A-GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, FM Radio, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc. It also supports DTS sound.
The Huawei G9 Plus price starts at RMB 2399 (US$ 360) for 3GB RAM variant. Pricing details for 4GB RAM model have not been revealed. The handset is already up for registrations and will start selling from August 25, 2016.
