LG Action Cam LTE Active Lifestyle camera with live 4G streaming capabilities announced

LG Electronics expands its LG Friends ecosystem and has introduced Active Lifestyle LG Action Cam LTE Camera. It is comes with LTE connectivity, first action camera of its kind to be available globally.

It can also be used as CCTV camera for monitoring home or as dashboard cam. The camera has dimensions of 35 x 35 x 77.9 mm and weighs just 95 grams. LG Action CAM LTE offer remote access via 3G and LTE and allows users to download recorded images and videos on their pared smartphones. Remote access feature will be available in July 2016 via software upgrade.

The device can also be immersed in water with depth of up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. This is possible due to its IP67 rating. Moreover, it is also sand proof and dust proof. LG is also planning to introduce a special waterproof case that will make the camera usable in vigorous activities like surfing and scuba diving.

LG Action Cam LTE also has an optional mount, making it possible to attach with helmets, bicycles, cars and other fast moving objects. It has 1400 mAh battery that offers about 4 hours of Full HD Recording.

It is equipped with 1/2.3-Inch 12.3MP snapper with 1.55 x 1.55 um pixel size. It has 2GB RAM and 4GB ROM (OS only) and houses MicroSD card slot that allows expansion up to 2TB. The camera offers connectivity options like LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth V4.1, USB Type-C 2.0 etc.

This Active Lifestyle camera from LG is capable of recording Ultra HD videos at 30 Fps, 1080p videos at 60 Fps and 720p videos 120 Fps. It also comes bundled with GPS, Accelerometer and Gyroscope.

The LG Action CAM LTE comes in Grey colour option. It will launch in South Korea in June 2016 followed by key global  of North America and Europe. Pricing and Carrier details will be available at the time of official launch.
