LG Electronics has announced a new entry level 4G Flip phone called LG Folder 2. It is specially aimed at people who prefer simple functions.
The LG Folder 2 features in a dedicated SOS key mounted at the back. When you press it three times (in 1.5 seconds), it quickly calls pre-registered number and sends current location info via Text.
There is a hotkey on top of call button which which gives easy access to AI Voice services or recording functions (depending on carrier). The AI Voice service recognizes the users voice and answers qustions like Weather, date, time, simple arithmetic etc.
There is an external notification window which can be used to check incoming notifications about texts, messages, calls etc. The cell phone is also equipped with data security lock functions which prevents un-intended data charge bombs.
The LG Folder 2 has dimensions of 107.9 x 55 x 18 mm and weighs about 130 grams. It supports 4G LTE and comes with 2.8-inch QVGA display and 0.9-inch Monot screen (for notification).
The handset is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB storage space. It has support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and includes FM Radio. At the back side is 2MP shooter and 1470mAh battery capacity inside.
The LG Folder 2 price is 198,000 won (US$ 162 / Rs. 12,420 approx.) and comes in White and New Platinum Grey colors. It will be sold at three major domestic mobile communication companies in South Korea from April 17th.
