LG has already confirmed that it will announce LG V20 smartphone on September 6th. Company has already started teasing bits and pieces of features of this upcoming phone.
Now, LG Electronics has announced that LG V20 will be world’s first smartphone to showcase Google’s In Apps. Moreover, it will also be first non Nexus phone to have Android 7.0 Nougat OS pre-installed out of the box.
The In Apps features is Google’s new mode to search in your apps. It helps users find content from built-in apps including text messages, emails, contacts, photos etc. along with user installed applications. Users can find recently accessed app, messages to read, peoples to contact and much more, without having to type a query. The In Apps is accessible with a single tap and can launch even while watching videos.
LG V20 will have In Apps shortcut on home screen and second screen. If you are not aware, second screen (officially confirmed) is an inset display located just above the main display. It works independently and can be used to set quick launch shortcuts.
LG Electronics, in the past, has also revealed that V20 will feature 32-bit Quad DAC for enhanced audio and will include B&O Play’s earphones. Renders of the phone have also surface earlier suggesting a dual camera setup and fingerprint sensor at the back.
