Meizu Band with OLED display announced

Meizu, at an event held in China has announced its new Meizu Band fitness tracker along with M5 Note smartphone.

The smartband has IP67 rating, making it dust and water resistant to an extent. It has dimensions of 58 x 16.2 x 11.8 mm and weighs about 20 grams. The band is made up of TPU materials with stainless steel metal buckle. It can easily fit in wrist size ranging from 150 ~ 195 mm.

The Meizu Band is equipped with low power OLED screen, which is hidden inside the band. It is also equipped high precision sensors that tracks footsteps. It has professional motion algorithm that records movement, trajectory etc.

meizu-band-image-2The smartband can also monitor quality and sleep, depth of sleep, sleep time etc. It also gives sedentary reminders as well to encourage movements.

meizu-band-image-1The Meizu Band features Heart rate sensor that measures both static and dynamic heart rates. It has heart rate module that monitors the frequency of beats. It automatically vibrates when the beats exceeds the safety value.

The device also gives phone, message alerts. The battery inside gives usage life of up to 15 days (closed heart rate) and up to 7 days with (open heart rate trackin sensor).

The smart fitness band is compatible with most Android and iOS devices. It works connects using Bluetooth LE using dedicated Application.

The Meizu Band is priced at CNY 229 (US$ 33). For those who order M5 Note smartphone can get the band for CNY 199 (US$ 29). The smartband comes in Black color option and will be up for pre-order in China from today. It will go on sale from December 8th.
