Motorola has just announced its latest Moto E Series smartphones called Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus.
Both of them are metal body phones with fingerprint sensor embedded on home button. They run on Android 7.1 Nougat OS and comes in Single / Dual SIM options.
Moto E4
The mobile measures 144.5 x 72 x 9.3 mm and weighs 150 grams. It has water-repellent coating as well.
The phone features in 5-inch full lamination display with 2.5D curved glass. It has 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, 70% NTSC color gamut and supports multi-touch.
The Moto E4 specs include 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor with Adreno 308 GPU. It has 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM and allows further expansion.
There is a 5MP selfie camera with F/2.2 Aperture, 74-degree wide-angle lens, 1.4micron pixel size and LED flash.
On the back side is 8MP main camera with LED Flash, F/2.2 Aperture, 1.12micron pixels, 71-degree wide-angle lens, LED Flash and Auto Focus support.
The hardware is powered by 2800 mAh battery which is removable. It also supports 5W/10W rapid charging.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.1 LE, GPS, optional NFC, FM Radio, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc.
The Moto E4 is priced at US$ 129.99 (Rs. 8,380) or €149 and will be available from Amazon Prime. There will be Verizon variant as well. It comes in Fine Gold and Licorice Black color options.
Moto E4 Plus
This is a slightly premium variant of E4, featuring a 5.5-inch 2.5D curved glass multi-touch display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution.
It has the same 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 / 427 processor with Adreno 308 GPU. It has 2GB RAM and has 16GB / 32GB internal storage options. It is also expandable using MicroSD card.
The Moto E4 Plus specs include 13MP primary camera at the back with LED Flash, F/2.0 Aperture, 1.12 micron pixel size, 78-degree wide-angle lens and Auto Focus capabilities.
It has the same 5MP selfie shooter with F/2.2 Aperture, 1.4 micron pixels, 74-degree Lens and LED Flash.
The smartphone has dimensions of 155 x 77.5 x 9.55 mm and weighs 181 grams. It has water-repellent coating as well.
The Plus variant is powered by 5000 mAh battery and supports 10W rapid charging as well. Connectivity options are more or less the same which include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.1 LE, GPS, optional NFC, FM Radio, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc.
The Moto E4 Plus will cost US$ 179.99 (Rs. 11,600) or €199. It comes in Iron Gray, Blush Gold and Oxford Blue color options.
