Motorola unveils Edge 20, Edge 20 Pro and Edge 20 Lite mobiles

Motorola took center stage and has officially announced three Edge series smartphones called Motorola Edge 20, Edge 20 Plus and Edge 20 Lite.

The Edge 20 price is set at €499.99/£429.99 (Frosted Gray, Frosted White Colors) while the Edge 20 Pro price starts at €699.99/£649.99 (Midnight Blue, Blue Vegan Leather, Iridescent White colors). The Edge 20 Lite costs €349.99/£299.99 (Electric Graphite, Lagoon Green colors).

Availability off all three smartphones is slated later in August. It will land in Europe, Latin America and Asian markets.

The handset measures 163.5 x 76.2 x 7.1 mm and weighs 165 grams. It has side mounted fingerprint sensor and runs on Android 11 OS. It has dual Nano SIM slots and supports 5G (SA/NSA) and Dual 4G VoLTE.

The Motorola Edge 20 Specs include 6.67-inch OLED display offering 2400 x 1080 pixels FHD+ resolution at 20:9 aspect ratio. It has 144Hz refresh rate with 10-bit color delivery, DCI-P3 color space and HDR10+ support.

Powering inside is octa-core Snapdragon 778G mobile platform with Adreno 642L GPU. It has 8GB RAM and 128GB storage space. Fueling inside is 4000mAh battery with 33W turbo-power fast charging support.

For optics, Edge 20 features a 32MP selfie camera. At the back side are 108MP (main) + 16MP (ultra-wide with Macro) + 8MP (Telephoto, 3x optical / 30x digital zoom) cameras with LED Flash.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), USB Type-C, Bluetooth V5.2, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, and 3.5mm audio jack.

The Edge 20 sports a 6.7-inch OLED display delivering 10-bit colors and DCI-P3 color space. It has support for HDR10+, 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution, 20Hz refresh rate and gives 144Hz refresh rate.

Powering inside is octa-core Snapdragon 870 mobile platform with Adreno 650 GPU. It comes with12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB storage options (UFS 3.1). It has Turbo Write and Host-Aware Performance booster for enhanced performance.

It has 108MP main Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor with 8K video recording. There is a 1MP ultra-wide camera with macro mode and 8MP periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and 50X digital zoom support. Chinese variant of Edge 20 Pro will have 16MP selfie camera while the global model houses 32MP front facing shooter.

The phone itself measures 163.3 x 76.1 x 7.9 mm and weighs 190 grams. It comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor. It has dual Nano Slots with 5G (SA/NSA) and Dual 4G VoLTE support. The mobile runs on Android 11 OS.

Powering inside is a 4500mAh battery with 30W TurboPower fast charging support. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz) MIMO, USB Type-C, Bluetooth V5.2, GPS/GLONASS/Bediou and 3.5mm audio jack.

The Edge 20 Lite features a 6.67-inch OLED HDR10+ display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 10-bit colors and DCI-P3 color space. The screen offers 90Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood is octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 720 processor with Mali-G578 MC3 GPU. It has 8GB RAm and 128GB storage space and allows further expansion using MicroSD card.

The Edge 20 Lite specs include a powerful 5000mAh battery with 30W TurboPower fast charging. It has 32MP camera at front while the back side houses 108MP Main, 8MP ultra-wide with Macro mode and 2MP depth sensors.

The smartphone includes a fingerprint sensor at side for biometrics. It boots on Android 11 OS out of the box. It has support for WI-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.0, USB Type-C, GPS/GLONASS/beidou and 3.5mm audio jack.
