Nubia has announced its first 5G gaming smartphone in China called Nubia Red Magic 5G. The handset comes with an in-display Optical fingerprint sensor and comes with special gaming features like Dual Gaming Buttons and 2-stage toggle switch to easily enter gaming mode.
It boots on Android 10 based Red Magic OS. The Red Magic 5G features in 6.55-inch multi-touch AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The screen offers FHD+ resolution at 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It has unique in-game frame rate compensation technology which guarantees stability at each frame.
For optimum performance, the Nubia Red Magic 5G features in octa-core Snapdragon 865 SoC. It comes in options of 8GB / 12GB / 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB / 256GB UFS 3.0 storage options. To keep this gaming smartphone cool during gaming sessions, Nubia has included Air Cooling and Liquid Cooling ICE 3.0, which is 3-dimensional multi-dimensional cooling system.
The Nubia Red Magic 5G specs also include 4500mAh battery which supports 10A air-cooled turbo fast charging. It also supports PPS fast charging protocol (compatible with PD3.0 and QC4.0). Statistically speaking, it can charge up to 56% in 15 minutes, 90% in 30 minutes and 100% in 40 minutes. There are 7 doc points on the side as well.
In terms of optics, there is a triple camera setup at the back. It includes 64MP main camera which houses 1/1.7-inch Sony IMX686 sensor. There are 8MP wide-angle and 2MP macro shooters at the back as well. Selfies are taken from 8MP front camera.
