Polar has announced OH1, its latest optical heart rate monitor armband. It tracks heart rate using Polar’s high quality 6-LED optical heart rate solution.
The Polar OH1 comes with 4MB built-in memory that can store up to 200 hours of training data. The data can also be synced with Polar Flow app and web services.
The armband has heigh of 9.5mm and diameter of 29.85 mm. The armband weighs a total of 12 grams and comes in M-XXL sizes. They are machine washable, made from from soft textile materials.
Moreover, it is water resistant up to 30 meters. It has 40 mAh rechageable Lithium Polymer battery. It offers up to 12 hours of training time on single charge. The battery is easily chargeable using USB adapter, which comes in the box.
It can connect with most iOS (iPhone 4S and later) and Android (4.3 or later) devices using Bluetooth V4.0. Company claims that Polar OH1 will keep on improving with over-the-air updates.
The Polar OH1 is priced at $79 and is up for pre-order at company’s official site. Shipping is expected to start in mid-September.
