Xiaomi’s Redmi brand has officially launched Redmi 9 smartphone in India. The Redmi 9 India variant is slightly different from Global model and sports dual rear cameras.
Starting with OS, Indian Redmi 9 boots on Android 10 with MIUI 12 on top. It has dual nano SIM slots and comes with a dedicated microSD card slot for further storage expansion.
The phone has measurements of 164.9 × 77.07 × 9.0 mm and weighs 196 grams. It has P2i splash resistant nano coating as well. A fingerprint sensor is placed at back for fast and secure unlocking.
The Redmi 9 Indian variant specs include 6.53-inch IPS LCD Dot Notch displau with 1600 x 720 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 70% NTSC color Gamut and delivers 400nits brightness. Multi touch is also supported.
Under the hood, you get 2.3GHz Octa Core MediaTek Helio G35 processor with 680MHz IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It has 4GB LPDDR4X RAM anx comes in option of 64GB / 128GB storage space. MicroSD card up to 512GB are supported.
Indian variant of Redmi 9 features in dual rear cameras, making up of 13MP (main, F/2.2) + 2MP (depth, F/2.4) shooters and LED flash. At the front side is 5MP selcie camera with F/2.2 Aperture.
It hhas 5000mAh battery and supports 10W charging. Connectivity options include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V5.0, GPS/GLONASS, MicroUSB V2.0, FM radio and 3.5mm audio jack.
The Redmi 9 4GB/64GB price is Rs. 8999 while its 4GB/128GB variant costs Rs. 9999. It comes in Sporty Orange, Sky Blue and Carbon Black colours. The smartpjone will be available at Amazon.in and Mi.com from August 31st.
