Redmi brand from Xiaomi has announced Redmi 9i smartphone in India. It has Aura 360 grip-friendly design with P2i splash resistant coating.
The Redmi 9i has dimensions of 164.9 x 77.07 x 9 mm and weighs 194 grams. It lacks fingerprint authentication however, there is support for face unlock (using front camera).
The mobile houses dual Nano SIM slots and runs on Android 10 with MIUI 11. It is upgradable to MIUI 12 in future. The phone features in a 6.53-inch IPS display with Panda Glass. It has 1600 x 720 pixels resolution at 20:9 aspect ratio and multi-touch support.
The Redmi 9i specs include 2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 processor with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It has 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and comes in options of 64GB / 128GB built-in storage space (eMMC 5.1). There is a dedicated MicroSD card slot for further expansion up to 512GB.
Camera details of Redmi 9i include 5MP front camera with F/2.2 Aperture and 13MP auto focus shooter at back with LED Flash and F/2.2 Aperture. A 5000mAh battery with 10W charging powers the hardware.
Usual connectivity options like Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V 5.0, MicroUSB V2.0, GPS/GLONSS, FM Radio and 3.5mm audio jack are supported.
The Redmi 9i 64GB model price is Rs. 8299 while its 128GB storage variant costs Rs. 9299. It comes in Midnight Black, Sea Blue and Nature Green colors. The cell phone will sell at Flipkart, Mi.com and offline stores from September 18th.
