Samsung has officially launched Galaxy A6+ smartphone in South Korea but company is calling it as Galaxy Jean (SM-A605K). The handset has been listed on company’s official website.
The Samsung Galaxy Jean features in a large 6-inch Super AMOLED Infinity display which offers 2220 x 1080 pixels resolution. It has 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 450 mobile platform with Adreno 506 GPU.
The handset measures 160.2 x 75.7 x 7.9 mm and weighs 191 grams. It packs in 3500 mAh battery which offers about 32GB hours of LTE calling, up to 15 hours Wi-Fi usage, up to 14 hours of LTE internet, up to 13 hours on 3G, 18 hours of video and about 60 hours of audio playback.
It has a single nano SIM slot with 4G VoLTE support. There is a rear facing fingerprint sensor for quick unlocking. The device also comes with accelerometer, gyro, geomagnetic sensor, RGB light sensor, Hall sensor and Proximity sensors.
Other specifications of Galaxy Jean include 3GB RAM, 32GB on-board storage space (about 22GB user available) and MicroSD card slot for further expansion up to 256GB. It comes with Dolby Atmos for enhanced audio.
The Galaxy A6+ 2018 specs include 24MP front facing camera with LED Flash and F/1.9 Aperture. At the back side is dual rear camera setup with LED Flash. It consists of 16MP (F/1.7 Aperture) + 5MP (F/1.9 Aperture).
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), HT40, MicroUSB V2.0, Bluetooth V4.2 LE, NFC, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, ANT+, NFC, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc.
The Samsung Galaxy Jean price is set at KRW 440,000 (US$ 395 approx.) and is available at KT. The handset comes in lavender and black colors. It is worth mentioning that Samsung Galaxy A6+ was launched in China as Galaxy A9 Star Lite.
