Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ officially announced

Samsung has just announced its latest Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphone at its Unpacked 2018 event at MWC 2018 in Barcelona. They come in in Single / Hybrid Dual SIM options.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 features in 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display with 2960 x 1440 pixels resolution. It offers 570ppi pixel density and houses Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.  It has 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and sports 12MP Dual Pixel rear camera with LED Flash, F/2.4-F/1.5 variable aperture, and 480fps slo-mo recording.
The Samsung Galaxy S9+ specs include a larger 6.2-inch AMOLED Infinity display with 2960 x 1440 pixels resolution, 529ppi pixel density and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It has 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and houses dual camera setup with LED Flash. It consists of 12MP (F/2.4-F/1.4 variable aperture, 960fps slo-mo) + 12MP (F/2.4 Aperture) shooters.
Depending on the market, the S9 and S9+  comes with octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform with Adreno 630 GPU or Octa-Core Samsung Exynos 9 Series 9810 processor with Mali-G72 MP18 GPU. Both of these handsets are IP68 rated for water and dust resistance. They are powered by Android 8.0 Oreo OS out of the box and comes with Dolby Atmos and Stereo Speakers tuned by AKG.
They have a long list of sensors which include Fingerprint sensor, Accelerometer, Proximity, Geo-Magnetic Sensor, Hall Sensor, Barometer, Gyro, RGB Light Sensor, Iris Sensor, Pressure sensor and Heart Rate sensor.

The smaller Galaxy S9 comes with 3000 mAh battery while its larger cousin, the Galaxy S9 Plus features in 3500 mAh battery. Both models support fast charging, both on wire and wireless (WPC and PMA). They have same connectivity features like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), VHT80 MU-MIMO, Bluetooth V5.0 LE (up to 2Mbps), GPS/GLONASS, USB 3.1, MST, NFC etc.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 price starts at US$ 719.99 / £739 / €849 and goes up to US$ 839.99 / £869 / €949 (€1099 for 256GB) for Galaxy S9+. They come in Midnight Black, Coral Blue, Titanium Gray and Lilac Purple colors. Their availability starts on March 16, 2018.
