Samsung has launched its latest Android Tablet in South Korea called Galaxy Tab A. It comes in 4G LTE and Wi-Fi only options and is already available in other markets including India and Vietnam.
Also known as the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 2017, the tablet packs in an 8-inch TFT display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. It is the first tablet to feature Bixby Home and Bixby Reminder.
The Galaxy Tab A has Smart View function that allows one to share tablet screen with TV Screen. It has Game Launcher feature that automatically blocks notifications during the game and prevent unnecessary screen touches.
The tablet gets processing power 1.4Ghz quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor with Adreno 308 GPU. It has 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM and allows further expansion up to 256GB using MicroSD Card.
The tab measures 212.1 x 124.1 x 8.9 mm and weighs 360 grams for Wi-Fi model and 364 grams for 4G LTE variant. It runs on Android 7.1 Nougat OS and is powered by 5000 mAH battery capacity.
The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) specs include 5MP front camera for video calling. On the back side is an 8MP main camera with LED flash, F/1.9 Aperture, Auto Focus and 1080p video recording capabilities.
Other features include 4G LTE (with voice calling), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Dual band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V4.2, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, MicroUSB V2.0, ANT+, 3.5mm Audio jack etc.
The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 2017 4G LTE model is priced in Korea at 308,000 Won and comes in BLack color. It is already available in the country. The Galaxy Tab A Wi-Fi model is slightly cheaper at 264,000 Won and comes in Black and Silver colors. It will be available from November 24th. Samsung is also giving YouTube Red free for 3 months for those who buy tablet from December 7th to March 31, 2018.
