Samsung has launched Galaxy Watch Active2 4G smartwatch in India. Company has already unveiled non LTE variant earlier and now Samsung has unveiled its latest 4G LTE smartwatch.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 4G variant is equally durable and comes with IP68 and 5ATM water resistant rating. It is also MIL-STD-810G certified for military grade durability.
It has e-SIM support for 4G LTE connectivity (supports Airtel and Jio). The smartwatch measures 44 x 44 x 10.9 mm and weighs 30 Grams (aluminum model) / 42 grams (Stainless Steel 44mm model).
The smartwatch boots on Tizen based Wearable OS and is compatible with most smartphones running on Android 5.0 or above (with more than 1.5GB RAM) OR iPhone 5 and above running on iOS 9.0 or above.
The Galaxy Watch Active 2 4G features in 1.4-inch Super AMOLED circular Always-on full color display with 360 x 360 pixels resolution and houses Corning Gorilla Glass DX+ protection for scratch resistance.
The smartwatch sports rotating bezels (clock wise and anti-clock wise) to reach advanced screens or select favorite applications. It can also track more than 39 works, check real time stress levels (via Samsung Health) and suggests guided meditation programs.
It has 8 photodiodes for heart rate monitoring and can take Electro-cardiogram (ECG). Its accelerometer can measure up to 32G of force. It also comes with Ambient light sensor, Barometer and Gyroscope.
The Galaxy Watch Active2 specs also include 1.15GHz dual-core Exynos 9110 processor coupled with 1.5GB RAM and 4GB ROM. A 340mAh battery powers the hardware and supports WPC-based wireless charging.
