Sony, along with Xperia XZ1 flagship phone, has also announced its compact variant called Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact. It has metal frame and comes with IP65 / IP68 rating as well.
The phone comes in Single SIM slot option, supports 4G VoLTE and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo OS out of the box. It measures 129 x 64 x 9.3 mm and weighs about 140 grams.
The Xperia XZ1 Compact specs include 4.6-inch TRILUMINOS display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. It has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and supports multi-touch.
It has fingerprint sensor on side and includes DSEE HX, LDAC and Digital Noise cancelling mics. It has 2700 mAh battery with Qnovo Adaptive Charging.
The XZ1 Compact features in an octa-core Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform with Adreno 540 GPU. It has 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage and allows further expansion up to 256GB using MicroSD card.
It is equipped with 8MP front camera with 1/4-inch Exmor R sensor, F/2.4 Aperture, 18mm wide-angle 120-degree FOV lens and 1080p video recording capabilities.
The cell phone features a 19MP primary shooter at the back with LED Flash, 1/2.3-inch Exmor Rs sensor, F/2.0 lens, 5-axis stabilization, predictive capture, Anti-distortion shutter, Triple image sensing technology, 4K video and slow motion capture at 960 fps.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), MIMO, Bluetooth V5.0, NFC, USB 3.1 Type-C, GPS/GLONASS etc.
The Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact comes in Black, White Silver, Horizon Blue and Twilight Pink colors. It will start rolling out globally in September 2017.
