TCL along with TCL 950 has launched TCL 580 budget phone. The handset looks similar to its flagship counterpart, boasting a glass body and metal frame.
It has a fingerprint sensor embedded on home button. Inside is dual SIM slots (4G + 3G) and allows dual Standby. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box. In terms of measurements, the phone has dimensions of 144.5 x 69.2 x 7.05 mm and weighs 135 grams.
The TCL 580 specs include 5-Inch AMOLED display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. A 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor sits inside at the core along with Mali-T860 GPU.
The mobile features 3GB RAM, 32GB storage ROM and MicroSD card slot for further expansion. It has 13MP camera unit at the back with LED Flash, F/2.0 Aperture and supports PDAF. On the front is a 5MP secondary camera, equipped with F/2.2 Aperture and dedicated LED Flash.
Inside is 2460 mAh battery which is non-removable. Connectivity options include 4G LTe, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.2, MicroUSB V2.0, GPS/A-GPS, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc.
The TCL 580 is priced at just 1399 Yuan (US$ 210 approx.). It will go on sale from October 10, 2016 from most Chinese online stores. It will be available in Gold and Silver color options. Global roll out details are not known.
