Chinese phone maker TCL has just launched its latest mobile called TCL 950. It is 6.99 mm thick and sports Aluminium frame. The right side houses volume buttons along with a customizable quick app launch button (circular). The power button sits on the left edge.
The TCL 950 Specs include 5.5-Inch AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The screen gives out 500nits of brightness and supports multi-touch as well. It comes with 2.5D arc glass on the front and back side.
Internal hardware consists of 2.15GHz quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU. It has 4GB RAM, 64GB storage ROM and allows further expansion up to 128GB as well. The phone houses hybrid Dual SIM slots (2nd SIM slot can double up for MicroSD cards) and supports Dual Standby as well.
The TCL 950 Features in 21MP main camera at the back with Sony IMX230 sensor, F/2.2 Aperture, PDAF, LED Flash and records 4K videos as well. On the front side is 5MP selfie snapper with F/2.2 Aperture.
The hardware is juiced up from 3000 mAH non-removable battery. It also supports Quick Charge 3.0. For optimum audio, company has included dual stereo speakers (top and bottom edge) with Hi-Fi sound.
The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. Just like MIUI8, the phone lets you use two WhatsApp or WeChat accounts on single phone. Connectivity options include 4G LTE with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.2, GPS/A-GPS, USB Type-C etc.
The TCL 950 will be available in Silver and Gold colour options. The smartphone is priced at 3299 Yuan (US$ 495 approx.) and will be sold at JD.com and TCL’s online store.
