TP-Link has re-entered the smartphone market and has announced its latest Neffos Y5 smartphone. It packs in Dual micro SIM slots (with dual standby) and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
The smartphone mesures 144 x 72 x 8.8 mm and weighs 153.5 grams. It packs in 5-Inch LCD display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and 293ppi pixel density.
Under the hood is 1.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 220 MSM8909AA processor with Adreno 304 GPU. The chipset is supported by 2GB RAM and 16GB storage ROM. MicroSD card slot is also available for further expansion up to 32GB.
The handset supports 4G LTE (Bands 1/3/5/7/8/20). The Neffos Y5 specs also include 2MP front camera and 8MP auto focus snapper on the back with LED flash.
The mobile is powered by 2130 mAh battery. Connectivity wise, it has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.1, MicroUSB V2.0, GPS / GLONASS / Galileo, 3.5mm Audio jack etc. It also comes bundled with Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor and Accelerometer.
The TP-Link Neffos Y5 comes in Dark Grey and Pearl White color options. It will be available in September 2016 at stores across Southeast Asia, Africa, Western and Eastern Europe and Middle East. Pricing details are not known yet.
