Vertu has come to life as it has unveiled its latest luxury smartphone called Aster P. It comes in two series namely Baroque and Gothic, with only notable difference being its appearance.
The Vertu Aster P is made from premium materials. It has Titanium alloy frame, sapphire glass screen and leather rear panels. There are two panels at the back that open with a wing-like motion and under them is SIM slot(s) and signature of the person who handcrafted the phone.
It has traditional concierge button on the sides which connects you to a personalized service. It can be used to make travel plans, book dinner reservations etc. The device is exclusive to China and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo OS. Notably, there is no Google services.
In terms of specifications of Vertu Aster P, it measures 149.8 x 71 x 10.1 mm and has weight of 220 grams. It has 4.97-inch multi-touch AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. Under the hood is an octa-core Snapdragon 660 mobile Platform with Adreno 512 GPU.
The Aster P features in 12MP single rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash. For selfies and video calling, there is a 20MP front facing shooter with F/2. Aperture and Beauty mode. A 3200 mAh battery powers the hardware and supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging.
The smartphone also comes with V Talk encryption technology that keeps the calls and messages safe. Additionally, there is an additional security application that immediately locks the handset just in case it falls in wrong hands.
Connectivity wise, the phone supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.0, GPS and USB Type-C.
The Vertu Aster P price is 29,800 Yuan (US$ 4,200 approx.) and come sin Black, Gentlemant Blue, Twilight Orange and Caramel Brown colors.
The Gothic Series of Aster P with Black Jade and White Moon colors costs 35,000 Yuan (US$ 5100 approx.). The most expensive of the lot is Vertu Aster P Dazzling Gold which is priced at 98,000 Yuan (US$ 14,120 approx.).
