VIVO has officially announced its latest S Series smartphone in China called VIVO S10 and VIVO S10 Pro. These are basically same with only difference being their RAM, Storage and Rear cameras.
Starting with measurements, both of these have height and width of 158.2 x 73.67 mm. The Fluorite Black and Lime color variant has 7.29mm thickness and 173 grams weight. Their beautiful Radiance and Velvet White color models have thickness of 7.43 mm and 175 grams of weight.
Both VIVO S10 / S10 Pro have an in-display fingerprint sensor for fast and secure unlocking. They have Dual Nano SIM slots with 5G (SA/NSA) and Dual 4G VoLTE support. They run on Android 11 based Origin OS 1.0 out of the box.
The VIVO S10 Series feature a 6.44-inch multi-touch AMOLED display offering up to 90Hz refresh rate and resolution 2400 x 1080 pixels at 20:9 aspect ratio. Their screens have HDR10+ support, 98% NTSC color gamut, 3000000:1 contrast ratio and boasts 91.04% screen-to-body ratio.
Powering inside vivo S10 and vivo S10 Pro is an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 11 processor with ARM Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. Both of these come with 4050mAh (typical) battery capacity and has support for 44W fast charging. Vivo claims that battery offers up to 13.9 hours of 4G VoLTE talk time or up to 17.9 days of 4G standby.
The VIVO S10 comes with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and includes 128GB / 256GB UFS 3.1 storage options. The VIVO S10 Pro sports 12GB LPDDR4X RAM with 256GB UFS 3.1 storage options.
As far as optics go, both of these have 44MP (main, F/2.0, AF) and 8MP (105-degree ultra-wide, F/2.28) dual front facing camera for quality selfies and video calling. At the back side, VIVO S10 houses 64MP (main, F/1.89) + 8MP (119-degree ultra-wide, F/2.2) + 2MP (macro, F/2.4) triple cameras with LED Flash. Interestingly, VIVO S10 Pro feature 108MP (main, ISOCELL HM2, F/2.2) + 8MP (119-degree wide angle) + 2MP (macro, F/2.4) shooters at back with LED Flash.
For connectivity, both of these support Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.2, USB Type-C, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou and USB Type-C Audio. The S10 Pro model supports NFC as well.
