VIVO expands its V series lineup with the launch of two new smartphones – V23 and V23 Pro. Both of these comes in Sunshine Gold and Stardust Black colors.
The Sunshine Gold comes with color-changing glass that interacts with sunlight and other sources of artificial UV rays to reflect spectrum om colors. It has has glossy unibody frame that looks sharp and translucent. The Stardust Black color models offer matte frame which is soft and Pleasant.
VIVO V23 specifications and features
The phone measures 157.20 x 72.4 x 7.39 / 7.55 mm (Stardust Black / Sunshine Gold) and weighs 179 / 181 grams respectively.
The VIVO V23 5G feature dual nano SIM slots and supports 5G (n1/n3/n38/n40/n41/n77/n78 bands) and Dual 4G VoLTE in India. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor and runs on Android 12 based Funtouch OS 12.
The phone packs a 6.44-inch HDR10+ AMOLED display offering 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 90Hz refresh rate and 98% NTSC color gamut.
Powering inside is an eight-core MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor with Mali-G68 MC4 GPU. It has 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB storage space. There is a 12GB LPDDR4X RAM with 256GB storage model as well.
The VIVO V23 specs include 50MP front facing auto focus camera with F/2.0 Aperture and a second 8MP ultra-wide (105-degree) front camera with F/2.28 Aperture. It can record 4K video at 30 fps and includes dual-tone spotlight flash.
The smartphone is equipped with triple rear cameras. It has 64MP main with F/1.89 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide with F/2.2 Aperture and 2MP macro lens with F/2.4 Aperture.
The vivo V23 5G houses a 4200mAh (typical) battery and supports 44W fast charging. It has Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.2, USB Type-C, GPS/GLONASS and USB Type-C audio.
VIVO V23 Pro specifications and features
The cell phone has dimensions of 159.46 x 73.27 x 7.36mm and weighs 171 grams. It has dual Nano Slots and supports 5G (n1/n3/n38/n40/n41/n77/n78 bands).
It is powered by Android 12 based Funtouch OS 12 and comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometrics. A 4300mAh battery powers the hardware and brings support for 44W fast charging.
The vivo V23 Pro specs include 6.56-inch AMOLED display with HDR10+ support. It offers 2376 x 1080 pixels resolution, 19.8:9 aspect ratio, 90Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate and delivers up to 1300nits brightness.
Under the hood is 3Ghz (upto) MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI processor with ARM Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. It has 8GB/12GB LDPDR4X RAM options with 128GB/256GB storage space.
In terms of cameras, the VIVO V23 Pro 5G has same 50MP (AF, F/2.28) + 8MP (105-degree ultra-wide, F/2.28) dual selfie cameras with dual-tone spotlight flash and supports 4K video recording.
At the back side includes 108MP (main, F/1.8), 8MP (ultra-wide, F/2.2) and 2MP (macro, F/2.4) lenses with LED Flash. The cell phone can record 4K videos at 60fps.
For connectivity, it has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), USB Type-C with Type-C audio support, Bluetooth V5.2, and GPS/GLONASS/Beidou/Galileo.

Both of these VIVO V23 series smartphones are up for pre-booking in India. The V23 will go on sale from January 13th while V23 Pro will be available from January 19th. These will sell at Flipkart, Vivo.com and other offline stores.
