Vivo expands its ‘Y Series’ smartphone range with the launch of its latest smartphone called Y55L. It has Dual SIM Slots (micro + nano) and supports 4G LTE with VoLTE.
The handset measures 147.9 x 72.9 x 7.5 mm and weighs 142 grams. It has 5.2-Inch 2.5D curved-edge IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and supports multi-touch as well.
The Vivo Y55L specs include octa-core (1.2Ghz Cortex A53 x 4 + 1.5GHz Cortex A53 x 4) 64-Bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with Adreno 505 GPU.
The chipset is backed by 2GB LPDDR3 RAM. It has 16GB of storage ROM and allows further expansion up to 128GB using MicroSD card.
The mobile runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Funtouch OS 2.6.It has unique split-screen feature for multi-tasking and comes with eye protection that reduces blue light.
The Vivo Y55L features 5MP front camera for selfies and video calling. On the back side is an 8MP camera unit with LED Flash and Auto Focus capabilities.
The hardware is backed by 2650 mAh battery. Connectivity wise, it supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.1, MicroUSB V2.0, GPS, 3.5mm Audio jack etc.
The Vivo Y55L is priced at $195 (INR 12,980). It comes in Space Grey and Gold color options and will be available across India from October 15th.
