VIVO has introduced a new Y Series smartphone in India called Y72 5G. It is different from Y72 5G model which was introduced in Thailand back in March.
The VIVO Y72 5G variant is basically a rebranded version of VIVO Y52s (T1 Edition). It offers dual SIM connectivity with 5G and is powered by Android 11 based FuntouchOS 11.
The smartphone is 8.4mm thick and houses a 5000mAh battery inside with 18W fast charging support. A fingerprint sensor is placed at side and allows face unlocking via its 8MP front camera.
At the back side is a dual camera setup consisting of 48MP main and 2MP depth shooter. At the front side is a 6.58-inch LCD display with FHD+ resolution at 2.09:9 aspect ratio. Its screen delivers 90Hz refresh rate for added smoothness.
The India’s VIVO Y72 5G has octa-core Snapdragon 480 mobile platform in side with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB / 256GB UFS 2.1 storage options. The smartphone does allow further expansion up to 1TB using MicroSD card.
