Along with Mi 5S, Xiaomi has also announce its premium variant called the Mi 5S Plus. It has a larger screen, upgraded specifications and dual cameras at the back.
The Xiaomi Mi 5S plus specs include 5.7-Inch 2.5D curved glass display with 1920 x 1080 pixels full HD resolution. The screen has 386ppi pixel density, 550 nits brightness, 94% NTSC color gamut, 1300 : 1 contrast ratio and supports multi touch as well.
It is powered by 2.35GHz quad-core 64-Bit Snapdragon 821 processor with Adreno 530 GPU. It has 4GB LPDDR4 RAM with 64GB UFS 2.0 storage. It also has a variant with 6GB LPDDR4 RAM with 128GB (UFS 2.0) Internal memory.
In terms of measurements, the smartphone has dimensions of 154.6 x 77.7 x 7.95 mm and weighs 168 grams. It has Dual Nano SIM slots and supports 4G LTE with VoLTE. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with MIUI 8.
The battery inside Mi 5s Plus has been bumped up to 3800 mAh typical (3700 mAh min). It supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 as well. It house Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor at the back that unlocks phone is blink of an eye.
The Xiaomi Mi 5S Plus features 13MP dual cameras at the back and are equipped with Sony sensor. It has Dual-Tone LED Flash, supports PDAF, 720p slomo at 120 Fps and 4K video recording capabilities. On the front side is 4MP selfie shooter with 2um pixels, F/2.0 aperture, 80-degree wide angle lens and supports 1080p video recording as well.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/a/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (MU-MIMO), Bluetooth V4.2, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, USB Type-C, NF, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc.
The Xiaomi Mi 5S Plus price starts at 2299 Yuan (US$ 344) for 4GB RAM / 64GB storage variant. The 6GB RAM / 128GB ROM model is priced upwards at 2599 Yuan (US$ 390). It comes in Silver, Dark Grey, Gold and Rose Gold colours. The phone will be available from September 29th in China.
