Xiaomi has announced its new smartband at an event in China called Mi Band 3. It is successor to Mi Band 2.
The Mi Band 3 comes with 5ATM rating which offer water resistance up to 50 meters. It has improved activity tracking and shows real-time data on several activities like walking, running, cycling etc.
It easily connects with smartphones and comes with a front button using which, one can check out caller name or reject calls on long press. By the way, the smart band weighs just 8.5 grams (20 grams with band).
The Xiaomi Mi Band 3 specs include 0.78-inch OLED display with 1280 x 80 pixels resolution. It has anti-fingerprint coating and scratch resistant glass. The screen not only shows time but can show steps taken, heart rate, notifications weather etc.
The band also houses Heart Rate sensor / PPG for tracking heartbeats. Apart from monitoring fitness, it can also track sleep and send sedentary reminders. Xiaomi is offering optional NF and Bluetooth V4.2 LE connectivity. There is 110 mAh Li-Ion Polymer battery that offers 20 days of standby.
The Xiaomi Mi Band 3 price is set at 169 Yuan (US$ 26 / Rs. 1780 approx.) and comes in Black color (Graphite Black , Hot Orange and Deep Blue bands). It will launch in Chin from June 5th. The Mi Band 3 with NFC will cost 199 Yuan (US$ 31 / Rs. 2100 approx.). It will be available in September.
