Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s officially announced with Snapdragon 845, AI Dual cameras

Xiaomi has put an end to the rumors and has officially announced Mi MIX 2s smartphone. It has 5.99-inch IPS LCD Full Screen 2.0 display with with 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio and multi-touch capabilities.
Aesthetically speaking, phone’s front and rear side are made out of glass. It’s edges are made from 7000-series aluminum frame. The Special Edition Mi MIX 2s features in four-side curved ceramic body. It comes in white color with gold ascents.
The front top bezel houses ear piece while the bottom bezel packs in front facing (bottom right) 5MP camera for selfies with AI portraits. Moreover, the device sports slightly smaller bottom bezel when compared with its predecessor. The handset measures 150.86 x 74.9 x 8.1 mm and weighs 189 grams.
Talking about its AI Dual cameras, it has two rear shooters with dual-tone LED flash, which are vertically aligned at top left. The primary rear camera is a 12MP shooter with 26mm wide-angle lens, Sony IMX363 sensor and 1.4µm pixel size. The secondary rear camera is a 12MP telephoto lens which allows optical zoom. The combination allows one to capture bokeh effects (6 type of dynamic effects). These AI Cameras detects up to 206 scenes and allows real time language or currency translations. Other camera features include 4-axis Optical Image Stabilization and Dual Pixel Auto Focus.
If you talk about quality of cameras, the MI MIX 2S managed to score 101 in Photography benchmarks at DxOMark. Considering the overall benchmarks, it scores to 97 which is just behind Galaxy S9+.
Internal hardware makes up of octa-core Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform with Adreno 630 GPU and comes with Artificial Intelligence Engine (AIE). It has 6GB LPDDR4X RAM with 6GB / 128GB UFS 2.1  storage options. There is a premium 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 256GB ROM (UFS 2.1) in its King Version. All the variants allow further expansion using MicroSD card.
The Xiaomi MI MIX 2s runs on MIUI 9.5 which is based on Android 8.0 Oreo OS. Company’s CEO Lei Jun has also introduced Xiao AI Voice assistant which is smart enough to compete with the likes of Apple Siri. The handset also supports Google AR Core.
The cell phones hardware is fueled by 34000 mAH battery. It has supports Quick Charge 3.0 and 7.5W Qi Wireless charging. There is a fingerprint sensor at the back side for security and quick unlocking. Connectivity wise, the handset supports 4G VoLTE (Dual SIM slots), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac 2X MU-MIMO, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V5.0, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc.
